I have fallen for a very affordable bag from forever 21 but I know that I will only be disappointed by its low quality and short life – I need supple leather and quality hardware! And I’m really feeling this gorgeous red. Can you please help me find it’s Designer inspiration or other mid priced bags to satisfy this hole in my heart?”

We totally agree with you Betsey, if you or anyone else is looking for a bag that will last in the long run, a $34 version might not be the wisest choice.  Don’t get us wrong, we love brands like Forever21 that offer moderate prices for the everyday shopper, but know where to invest your money.  So for the quality, we’d recommend trying this Marc by Marc Jacobs Classic Q Hillier Hobo.  To start off, it’s practically the better looking twin of the bag you showed us, in addition to the fact that it’s designer (bingo!).  Best part?  It’s by the lower priced MJ line, so the pricepoint is under $400!  Now that’s an investment you’d want to make.  If you think about how long the bag would last you, we’re sure you’d take the not so steep plunge.  Also, we love the bright red color, a great contrast to black clothing in winter or white in summer.
